Neural therapy is a low-risk therapeutic and diagnostic method that is not only used for pain management but is also suitable for the treatment of many acute and chronic diseases. In a healthy body, continuous and unconscious coordination processes take place, controlling the functions of all organs, muscles, nerves, connective tissue, and skin.
The body's own regulatory system is capable of compensating for minor and barely perceptible functional disorders.
The body's own regulatory system is capable of compensating for minor and barely perceptible functional disorders.
However, many minor disturbances can derail the body's self-regulation, manifesting as pain and other discomforts.
Neural therapy uses the locally acting anesthetic procaine to achieve its healing effect. It is based on two main principles: segment therapy and interference field therapy.
Neural therapy uses the locally acting anesthetic procaine to achieve its healing effect. It is based on two main principles: segment therapy and interference field therapy.
This form of therapy, also known as therapeutic local anesthesia, involves the use of local anesthetics in the form of injections and infiltrations in the body segment affected by the disease. The effect is not only based on the direct numbing effect of the agent, but also on influencing higher-level control circuits of the body. If segment therapy does not achieve the desired effect, interference field treatment is initiated.
In neural therapy, an interference field is defined as a pathologically altered body area that, as a constant stimulus, disturbs the body's own regulatory system, causing or maintaining symptoms somewhere in the body. Potential interference fields include scars, tonsils, paranasal sinuses, the lower abdomen, or teeth.
Through the injection, there is a temporary elimination of pathological impulses between an interference field and the corresponding affected organ, which activates natural healing.
If organs are only impaired in their function, neural therapy can lead to healing or permanent relief of symptoms.
If there are already permanent organ damages, neural therapy can help alleviate the extent of discomfort or improve function and quality of life.
Neural therapy can be used for a variety of different diseases from various fields:
Before starting therapy, a detailed medical history is taken. Even already forgotten, inconspicuous occurrences such as scars from long-past injuries that do not reveal a connection with the current situation can be significant. Fine needles are used for the injection itself, so the injection pain is usually minimal. A short rest period should follow the treatment. As a reaction of the body to the neural therapeutic treatment, a brief feeling of dizziness may occur due to the adjustment of the regulatory system. Reaction capacity may be impaired for one to two hours after treatment.
A short-term worsening of symptoms is sometimes observed and is not a cause for concern but is important information for your treating doctor and their further therapeutic approach.
Recording changes in well-being in the days following treatment is an essential aid for the doctor at the next consultation. Depending on the symptoms and response to treatment, a single treatment can already lead to lasting relief, although this is more the exception.
As a rule, several treatments will be necessary for lasting treatment success. In the case of chronic symptoms, the therapy will be based on the current state of the complaints.

Specialist for internal medicine
After six years of study and six years of specialist training in the university hospitals in Mainz and Frankfurt in Germany, I started working with integrative therapy concepts early on. I was lucky to be supported by extremely competent teachers. This opened the door to a part-time course in preventive medicine at Dresden International University.
Furthermore, I acquired certificates of proficiency in homeopathy and neural therapy.
